Fine today, no issues with stairs at home or during our long walk which had some descents. So I guess yesterday's flare-up was relatively minor. I can live with a mini flare-up the same day but when it extends into the following days like it did several times last year it's definitely a quality of life issue and is concerning for long-term implications. Need to put another focused effort on strengthening to see if it can resolve this.
