Ran up to the skyline via the Wilton substation then along and down. The steps up to Chartwell drive were a bit of a killer being quite slippery and more like jumps than steps. Started to get sore left lower calf and right arch just before the substation. Did a few minutes of core stuff once at the top of the skyline. Accidentally started heading along the wrong ridge and so had to go off track through long grass and scrub across a small valley to the other ridge, during which I put my hand on a tiny stinging nettle bush (the only one in sight). On the way down right ankle started to hurt and it was a bit dark and slippery through the bush.
Not much but better than nothing. Short run along the footpath in the dark and pouring rain, mostly flat. Nothing sore except a stitch just before the end.
Back to my original loop, as with most running in Wellington it involved a fair amount of climb. Heel was slightly sore still but not too bad, and the last couple of minutes my left arch and lower calf were a bit tight. Felt really good running on the hills though.
