parkrun
There were so many people! I started too far back and the entire first km was trying to get past people. I think I went too fast early on as I struggled near the end. Quite an enjoyable course, though cold and drizzly (there was ice in places). Pleased with time, though slower than normal I expected to be slower than this so that is good

Mid morning run with Stuart down the river then up the hill in the fields and around back to the railway. Followed some nice tracks through the woods and one through some farmers. The mud was really sticky and I had a lot stuck on my shoes. Did a few hill sprints once back at the fields and a fast 500 on the way back. This run took alot more out of me than it should have. Started taking iron tablets again so hopefully that will help

Run before breakfast with Stuart along the river from grandma's them across the railway lines and along the public footpath to the left. It was freezing and there was ice on all the puddles and a lot of frost which was cool. We were a bit slow on the other side of the railway as we tried to work out where the path went. Felt pretty good to be running properly though. Tried to do the last km fast but slowed right down because a dog was being a pain, but still pushed a bit harder there.

Running and walking around Cley Hill and Heaven's Gate. Ran a couple of uphills, struggling more than I should have but hopefully that's still jet lag wearing off. Was really muddy and slippery at Cley Hill and pretty cold out.

4 colours event at Fyfield Downs
First time running with a right handed compass which I found a bit annoying. I struggled to hold it in a way which didn't cover the leg I was running, and having gloves on didn't help so my compass bearings were useless. It was freezing (6 degrees) so I had buff and gloves and fleece, though I did warm up running. Started fairly well through to 5 where I didn't look at my compass enough, losing ~3 minutes, then went too far left on 6 and missed it losing another few minutes. Mostly good for the rest, though started to struggle towards the end with the running. Just about feeling normal though, considerably better than yesterday.
