Ran the Hooper loop at Holdsworth with Stuart in the rain. It was fun running in the rain and splashing in the puddles. Legs felt really tired on the way back down the hill, even after walking a lot of the uphill part.

Training at Baring Head. First part had the controls in little bubbles with no other bits of map, then a course around the boulders, some normal controls, and a corridor.
Navigation went fine. Managed to keep pretty straight bearings between the bubbles. Was quite slow on the beachy bit because my shoes got a lot of sand in them and I didn't want blisters, but then picked it up once up the big hill... Stayed in the corridor much better than last time!
Had a nice swim across the river at the end too, which perhaps my map and compass didn't need to join me on...

Hill intervals. Did them on my own in the morning this week since I was busy in the evening when the others did the session. Was pleased that I got further up the hill each time than I did last week and I was fairly consistent with where I was reaching. It was a little harder mentally on my own, but I actually quite enjoyed pushing myself.
warm up, 5 x 3 minutes hard uphill jogging back down in between, warm down.

Mission in to find the giant rata with Lara, Greg and Lizzie. Jogged along the track to begin with then walked up the stream for the last bit. It was a good little adventure

Ogang o-mission. Ran up to the wool shed along the road, then back through the farmland and some bush trails. The hill went on for a while but the pace was pretty easy on the whole. The farmland was a bit uneven under foot which I didn't like but was probably good training. I should try running off track more often
