tennis (VS Dad ) 1:00:00 [2]
shoes: New Balance Vazee Rush

Chill game of tennis with my dad near the campsite. It's really hot today so it was quite hard work playing in the sun with no wind! Was good fun though.

running race (Belgian Trail Race) 42:00 [5] 8.0 km (5:15 / km) +150m 4:48 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talons

My first ever trail race! Absolutely over the moon with my time and how good I felt running. Finished 4th overall out of all ages and 2nd out of the women.
Took it quite steady for the first few kilometres because I didn't know how my legs would feel later on having never done a trail race or ran 8K going full out. My legs felt great though and I was pleased. I could tell my recent training has helped a lot with my running!

biking (Ride out with parents) 1:30:00 [3]

20KM
Went for a ride out with my mam and dad. Went at a more or less relaxed pace for most of it and then had to slow down/stop for my mam to catch up!
At one point my dad and I went off on a trail biking hard and fast for about 3K and that was probably the only point where we pushed quite hard. Legs felt fine all the way so that's good.

orienteering race (Flanders Day 4) 47:45 [4] **** 5.5 km (8:41 / km) +18m 8:33 / km
spiked:9/15c shoes: Inov8 X-Talons

Course was 3.9K I ran 5.5K.
Extremely bad run! Was on a technical area of sand dunes in a white and light green forest. I found that it was difficult to tell the difference between some of the light green areas and the white forest in some places.
A lack of concentration on 2 of my controls caused me to make silly, bad mistakes on both.
Most other controls were good though, with good compass bearings and attack points.
Not exactly the ideal end to the 4 days but I have still managed to hold my overall lead, despite finishing second today.
12 PM

running warm up/down (Jog back from finish) 5:45 [1] 0.7 km (8:13 / km)

Legs feel fine, probably due to the lack of climb on any of the courses because Belgium is practically flat!!
6 PM

orienteering (Re-Running a few controls) 1:00:00 [1] 8.0 km (7:30 / km)

Went for a jog with my dad and the dog with my mam walking behind us on the paths. Took our maps and visited some controls in the forest, didn't take a compass though! I jogged some of my dads shorter legs which were near where we were and it was nice to focus on the map without any pressure or speed.

orienteering race (Flanders Day 3) 37:09 [4] *** 4.7 km (7:54 / km) +13m 7:48 / km
spiked:10/12c shoes: Inov8 X-Talons #2

Course was 3.8K, I ran 4.7K.
Mostly a good steady run but made around about a 3minute mistake near the end, it was stupid really. Disappointing considering it would've been quite a good run otherwise.
12 PM

running warm up/down (Jog from finish) 4:00 [1] 0.5 km (8:00 / km)

Slow gentle jog on the way back from finish.
5 PM

biking (Gentle ride ) 52:00 [1]

10KM - 55m climb
Went for a gentle ride out with my mam and dad, took it slow at a relaxing pace. Legs felt fine but didn't want to risk pushing any harder incase I ended up too tired for my race tomorrow.
