running warm up/down 9:18 [2] 1.35 km (6:53 / km) +91m 5:09 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talons #2

WU - to assembly then the runnable parts on way to start

orienteering race 1:03:20 [4] 6.91 km (9:10 / km) +343m 7:21 / km
spiked:13/18c shoes: Inov8 X-Talons #2

Bad direction to #2, worst route to #5 - should've pegged it around the road at the bottom but didn't see that route until I was finished, went along the paths which were too icy and very hard to run/walk without spikes, again bad direction at #9 but quickly realised, mistake at #11 just not concentrating and was getting attacked by a very excited dog when trying to relocate! It was so cute tho... Distracted at #16 as well and then fell on the path going to #17 and hurt my back so plodded in from there. Appalling race looking back but nice to be out. Wayyyy too scrappy, worst race in a while, a LOT to improve. Probably just a blip as nav has been good lately not making many mistakes.

running warm up/down 8:00 [2] 1.35 km (5:56 / km)

results are voided for today’s event so we thought we’d just be tourists instead as I’ve always wanted to see Edinburgh <3

Fight with the Night - Short - 4th overall
Pleased with this not pushing much was really icy, only beat by Murray Strain, Al and Claire Ward so not bad!
Bad route to 6 I think and quite slow at the map turnover but no problems other than that.
8 PM

orienteering 21:13 [2]
shoes: New Balance Vazee Rush

Indoor orienteering (GPS distance messed up inside) - Short
Really fun! missed 4 didny even realise till I downloaded, just went to 5 as it was next to the staircase. Then mucked up the outside loop on the roof tons: tried up 3 sets of stairs and couldn't get out then up the correct one and out! Then went 7,8 (which was on the next floor), 6 as thought it was a 9!! then realised so went 6,7 but forgot about 8 and went to 9... can tell I was concentrating!! So fun tho

running warm up/down 2:13 [2] 0.32 km (6:56 / km)

rugby 1:15:00 [5]
shoes: New Balance Visaro Studs

Cumbria rugby tournament, 15min WU, 3x 20min matches. Not doing conversions.
Won 1; lost 1; drew 1
Drew against an amazing team from Netherhall who went to regionals last year, 15all, scored 2, good game.
Played workington next who have lasses that are legit bricks and some play League for ST HELENS!!! Really hard match as we expected, lost 20-0. Pleased with me sel as one of the bricks who was actually quite fast broke free and was sprinting to the line and was about to score but I sprinted and chased her down and BOOM a tackled her and stopped the try, chuffed haha.
Last match was a mixed team of Beacon Hill and Solway won 15-0.
Astro-burnt & bruised knees and legs, a chipped tooth & a bust lip but other than that all good!
