Yvette Baker Heats - m10 oops
Was going really well until #9 where I made a ~5mins mistake because didn’t fully follow my plan and then messed around in the circle a lot not knowing where I was. Then panicked a bit and just ran in the rough direction to #10 without having a solid plan and drifted left. Then tried to relocate and got very confused and eventually managed to relocate. Because i’d drifted left I was near to #11 and I relocated to there, instead of 10, total brain-fart moment! Was just relieved to have relocated tbh! Then started the long slog up hill and was like ‘omg I’ve missed 10’ but had wasted enough time already so just walked the rest.
Good first half and then just such a muppet after 9. Need to learn that if I make a mistake I need to stop and calm down, then make sure I have a plan to the next one instead of running off.

Barrow Parkrun.
Did a good first K (4:33) and felt comfortable then got a stitch so times dropped as it got worse lol. Then started to push towards the end. Not happy with the time but haven’t ran hard like that in a while so understandable. Need to work on time a lot.

NWJS Training Dockney Parrock.
Lovely day and nice little area. WU (checking some controls), Contour Only loop, control pick, control pick, relay practise (mass start), WD (Collecting some controls).
Nav was mostly good, couple of small errors but nothing bad. Just jogged and walked, resting for tomorrow. Legs were quite tired tbh.

Warrior Battleaxe Score #1 - Bishops Wood.
Great first half in the gorge forest with no nav errors, other than a tad bit of a banana out of one control haha, but otherwise I was clean and smooth through controls. First 12 controls in 24mins. Running felt good through the terrain and was feeling good. The second half in the slower underfoot area was a bit bad for me, good first two but then a error in the circle at the 3rd. About 30secs to a min I assume. Next two fine. Then lost about 2-3mins not being able to fit the map to the ground with the ruined walls confusing me. Annoyed!! Small miss at the last one losing ~30secs. Dad ran 46 so without my mistakes would've been there or there about.
Positives to take from 1st half and some improvements to make on 2nd. Need to remember shoe tape too cos stopped twice to re tie them!! :0

training has been messed up this weekend. All week I have had a bad cold and was sent home on Friday from school because of sore head, throat and chest etc. Wise not to do park run on Saturday and then Sunday still wasn't feeling up to running. Lots of walking and playing golf/foot golf which was nice. Felt better last night but woke up feeling bunged up and awful again so decided to play it safe and call the pre-brekky run off. Hopefully running tomorrow though!
