Note

DEESIDE
Learnt quite a lot this week, for example:
- I NEED TO BE POSITIVE (!!!)
- I'm not necessarily as bad at everything as I think of myself to be
- My compass is not dreadful if I remember to keep checking it more often

and on the note of positivity, some positives from this week are:
- I had a very good time w my mates and made a new 'pal' hahaha
- lost some weight which is always great
- improved my navigation, especially my compass

Tour Champs middle/long
3rd place up until 9 (middle) then was just so slow up to 10 and then messed it up by going too high anyway. Probs should've gone other way cos then you could see the control from below but ah well. Rest of race was sound but was a bit dead and had cramps lol.

Rona's advice kept repeating in my head though and I tried to stay positive despite not feeling like I was having a good run. Working on having a PMA, its gonna take some time not gonna lie but yeah gonna have to try or I will fall back to the same state I was in after Northern champs.

Torphantrick - which is it?
Multiple controls kites in the circle and aim was to use control descriptions to identify the correct one. I did okay, first one wrong but the following 4 correct. Shadowed by Jenny for a bit and I think it went well overall I guess?

Rona got me to pick 3 positives of my own from this run (which was hard cos I have not got a PMA at all). Spiked all of the controls but still manage to pick at my run and find negatives where as this got me thinking about positives even if I don't fully agree they were great. Got me thinking tho

Felt pretty chilled being shadowed compared to last year which was nice cos last year I was stressy af. Mostly good with my bearings and enjoyed this cos we ate bilberries all the way round haha.

So was going pretty steady-ish till number 8 where I bananaed outta the control and didnt hit the track so just ran in the rough direction. Then hit a fence so was like oh cool this is fine I'm just below my control but turns out I was too high on an unmarked fence lol. Just jogged from there tbh

Sprint Tour Champs
Didn't really eat enough all day so was pretty empty by this point and had nothing really to give. Mistakes crept in as well especially at last control when everyone could see me and I didn't have enough confidence.
