JHI relays - Leg 1 - 4th
Pleased with this overall! Still made a few small mistakes and felt slow but didn’t go as dreadful as i thought. Made a small mistake at 3 and was chasing everyone (again!) but didn’t panic and focussed more. Was solo for a bit but i orienteered well from here and gained some places and was just behind megan coming through 10. Obviously she dropped me and i met up with both rachel’s coming out of 11. Stuck behind them through the green but was a bit hesitant at 14 and evie caught me and the rachels got a gap. Worked hard up the path but bonked up the hill in terrain and evie got slightly ahead but i knew we had the same gaffle so i stuck behind her. Then those 3 had a bit of an off direction to the gate and i just followed them tbh and then when they realised we were too far right i slotted in in front of evie in the train just before the gate. Thought i was gonna get merked on the last hill as my legs were dead as anything but dug as deep as i could and managed to hold evie off to the finish. Finished 10s behind rachel& rachel and 1min 50 down on megan who stormed it.

JHIs - 6th
Yet again, too many mistakes. Set off well and then started losing time after 5 (lost a total of ~9 mins!!) which is appalling. A few 1mins and then lost 4 mins absolutely blowing #8... took a bearing but sacked it off and decided to go straight down hill on a forestry track kinda thing as it was easier running and just didn’t even turn left. Found some boulders and just got really confused as to where i was and what i’d actually done. Eventually relocated but took too long and was very stupid really. Think i panicked a bit too. Didn’t really feel like i was moving fast at all either, felt a bit like running on empty up the hills but think that was due to v bad eating. Always get that wrong!!

meant to be WCOC intervals but was late... legs felt dead anyway on the way up and didn’t fancy doing hills solo so went on an easy loop with my dad and the dog. Never ran this before so enjoyed it.
