Solo along by the sea @ cramond - people & dog dodging, then along by the river (had no idea where i was going) but eventually found my way back to the sea! Didn’t plan to go this far but got a bit carried away on my adventures but the biggest shock was that i didn’t bonk!? Fitness maybe isn’t as bad as i feared.

post travel to Edi, went for a run in the pentlands with dad & dog. Could feel yesterday in the legs at the start so took a bit to get going but felt decent after first climb. Lovely run out! Also could feel my achilles a bit last night/this morning and was a tad worried but no problems during the run so all good there.

Lovely area but very rocky and steep so didn’t kill myself as didn’t wanna become injured on my first (proper) orienteering back. Going very well until 8 where i was just above the crag and didn’t see control tucked in, so ended up searching around the slopes a lot. Then at 13 too high, not too bad though, corrected myself okay. Then another bad mistake at 15 where i was going the correct way on my plan & got distracted by a lot of other people searching around and doubted myself. Turned out my plan was right and i should’ve trusted myself! Nice to be out in such lovely terrain despite it not being my best performance. Tbh this was better than expected as knew i’d be rusty!

so gorge this morning, everywhere was frosty! Also meant that the line was very slippy (and i nearly fell flat on my face a few times...)
