Orienteering (GO Bananas) 1:00:00 [2] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)

GO Bananas coaching on Hankley setting out controls and coaching some juniors in GO. Planned the courses so no real point in running them again but ended up running round the Light green with a couple of GO kids. Easy session.

Orienteering race 24:18 [5] 3.2 km (7:36 / km)

JHIs Relays with Stan and Alasdair.
Good run overall, 3rd on my leg, with our team coming 7th out of 15 teams.

Nice, hilly and technical terrain but felt strangely tired when racing so couldn't really get full speed over the tussocks. Only small mistakes at 4,10 and 12, around 20 seconds each.

Orienteering race 34:28 [5] 3.4 km (10:08 / km)

JHIs Individual. Really not pleased about another under par performance. Not a good Autumn season overall.
Total hash-up on number one, approx 6 mins error. Just mainly was too high and couldn't interpret the map well. I went off too fast and lost map contact very quickly. Should have reset my mind as a different terrain to last week at Wendover and taken much more care. School-boy error!
After the mistake I lost momentum and was slightly de-moralised. It picked up mid race (won leg 6 and 8) but not enough to catch up time.
