CREAG DUBH HILL RACE

British champs counter so the great and the good were out in force - a race that would feel crowded with 80 had 300 participants. After a few false stars (hang on Joss!) there was a lap of the field, a pall-mall rout to get over the fences, river crossing and road barrier before getting out on the hill proper. I was hemmed in on the narrow path up the hill so was probably ascending slower than I otherwise would have. Got stuck behind a slow Dark Peak guy for the first part of the descent. Ally McInnes passed me half way down and I was able to hang on to him for the rest of the way, before burning him off on the last flatfish mile where I must've made about 10 places.

A good performance given the heat and Ben Rinnes still in my legs.

Got bounced in to doing the 1500M; definitely a stupid thing to do after a race, but seemed to go OK. Finished 5th.
