Met Gwyn and Ruth in the park do to the following reps on the hill by the Gibson Street entrance.

5*60s (3min jog)
5*30s (2min jog)

Hard session, paced it well - legs failing in the last 5s of the last rep.

Easy in to town - 1.39M/13:57

Ran out along the canal and back again. Felt like I had to force the pace a bit at the start but otherwise fine. The third mile was faster than recorded as I forgot to stop my watch when I stopped to put on a jacket.

Stopped the clock at 6 miles to do 6*diagonals on the grass beside Spiers Wharf.

Jog along the canal and back, sticking to the bank.

Left calf was fine this morning. Kept the pace relaxed to avoid the risk of doing any damage.

Did 6*stride-outs on Kelvinside playing fields.

Ran from work, along the canal & back and then home.

Felt tired from the start and for the first 30 mins had to push harder than I would have otherwise to keep the pace up. Not sure if it was down to the faster 'easy' run last night or just a busy couple of days.

Had a slight ache in my left calf for the last five minutes, not painful though. Spent a good 20 mins on the foam roller in the evening to try and work it out.

Jog around the streets after work. Kept the pace a bit higher than I have done for previous 'easy' runs. Felt OK and energised throughout.

Did 6*stride-outs on the playing fields at the end of the run. Felt strong for the efforts.

A trot around the tracks of Whitelee Windfarm. An excellent place for a run - didn't retrace my steps at any point. Cold and windy day - but perfectly clear, could see the snow on Goatfell.

Run went well. Was feeling a bit creaky around the 4M mark, but that went away soon enough, was feeling strong and in control all the way to the end.
