Running warm up/down 23 [3] 3.0 mi (8 / mi)

Running 38:39 [3] 4.74 mi (8:09 / mi)
ahr:148 max:174 slept:7.0 shoes: Brooks N8 CX Spikes

8 x 3 min (2 min rest) with Niall & Rod. Loop of Queens Park recreation ground - finding every hill and slope we could.

Splits: 0.52, 0.53, 0.51, 0.53, 0.51, 0.51, 0.49, 0.49

This was a hard session, felt drained from the start. The last two reps in particular were desperate. Good have Niall to mark throughout.

I was worried that my left knee was going to flare up at some points, but it never got too bad.

Running warm up/down 2:00 [3] 2.5 mi (48 / mi)

Forgot to turn on my garmin - so this is a guesstimate.

Running 1:02:32 [3] 7.72 mi (8:06 / mi)
ahr:154 max:187 slept:6.0 shoes: Hoka Clifton 5

A trot along the Clyde and then some stride-outs on the Green. Lovely crisp winters day, fun to watch the 3k on the Green go by.

First time wearing a pair of Hokas, managed to fuck up the sizing (perils of online shopping) as these trainers are just too small!

Necropolis hill reps with Ross. 6*1min. Cold day.

Been feeling really tired today; not entirely sure why. Reps felt harder than usual with the last one being desperate.

Early start, little sleep, 6+ hours of driving, junk food for the day = feeling crap at the start of the run. Definitely felt a bit better by the end.

Running 1:17:44 [3] 8.72 mi (8:55 / mi)
ahr:141 max:165 slept:6.0 shoes: White Adidas Supernova Sequenc

Loops of Pollok and Cowglen Golf Clubs. Not sure why I haven't thought of this route before - miles of rolling grass just beside the flat.

Legs were knackered after yesterday which was reflected in the slow pace.

Had to bail on this run just before the 9M mark, sudden flare-up of pain in my left-knee. Quite similar to Tuesday night I think. Tried stretching/walking but it didn't calm down. Erred on the side of caution and walked 50 mins home in the pissing rain without a jacket.

Did plenty of stretching/icing at home this evening - no pain in the knee now, will see how it is tomorrow.
