Turbo 1:30:00 [3]

Would've preferred a ride, but the p*ssing rain and howling wind meant it was the turbo for me.

Note
(injured)

Tried to run home from, got as far as Buchanan Street before I had to admit that the ankle was too sore to carry on.

Wednesday Jan 29 #

12 PM

Running warm up/down 21:18 [3] 2.42 mi (8:48 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: White Adidas Supernova Sequenc

Warm-up jog, no pain in my ankle at all.

Running 21:31 [3] 2.0 mi (10:45 / mi)
shoes: White Adidas Supernova Sequenc

Hill Reps: 6 x 90s (3 min rest). Met Ruth & Leo at the Necropolis.

First 4 reps were fine. On the warm down after the 4th rep I had a slight dull ache in my left ankle - though I didn't think much of it. The ache was definitely there during the 5th rep, but again not enough to make me stop. After finishing the 5th rep, I had a moment to rest before starting the jog down.

When I did start jogging there was a sharp pain on the right-hand side of my left ankle coupled with an unpleasant fragile feeling. I tried a few times to get running, spent a few minutes stretching but each time was the same. Ended up walking back to the office in the pissing rain and freezing wind. Walking was not painful.

Sitting at my desk my ankle is slightly sore, though moving around isn't an issue. I will see how it is tomorrow.

Sunday Jan 26 #

3 PM

Running 2:15:00 [3] 15.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
slept:8.0 shoes: Nike Zoom Pegasus 31

Had a bit of a 'mare this morning so wasn't able to get out to the hills - went for a few laps of the local golf courses instead.

My Garmin is really starting to annoy me - konked out half way through, so went with what I reckoned was the right time/distance guesstimate. Might be time to look for a new one.

Legs felt pretty battered after yesterday.
