My mom and I decided against going to the NEOC meet today because I rolled my ankle again last weekend and it still doesn't feel quite right, my mom's heels are bothering her, and because the meet site is in the middle of the triple E watch zone. The last reason is the main one...

Reading and memorizing a monologue while doing a recovery run is a great way to multitask. I was practicing my reading-while-running skills, making sure I was running at a reasonable recovery run pace because I had to speak out loud the whole time to properly memorize, and then memorizing the monologue that I need memorized by tomorrow for an audition on Friday.

I should note that this was on the treadmill - I was not running around town talking to myself.
