Saturday Sep 30

orienteering 34:48 [4]4.7 km (7:24 / km) +65m 6:56 / km
Green on Minch Common, ran pretty well but was really stiff, quads incredibly tight and sore from Thurs but not quite sure why...

Thursday Sep 28

running tempo 24:34 [4]4.6 km (5:20 / km) +60m 5:01 / km
slept:7.0 shoes: Asics GT-2100
Round the Golf course at Stinchcombe with dad. Was going to be an 'easy' run at 5:49 min/km pace but turned out to be a bit faster than that, started out at tempo pace and was only just over 7 minutes out to the shelter from the main car park! Slowed a bit after the first hill loop but still maintained decent pace. Lovely still evening for it!

Wednesday Sep 27

other (tap lesson) 30:00 [1]
Did the dance, pretty fiddly stuff.
running intervals (xc club) 45 [5]0.25 km (3:00 / km)
XC Club at school, only 3 year 7s turned up as I was about to go home, cos of a year 8 school trip. Did 5x400s though they turned out to be a bit further than 400m, still getting my head round distances on the school field! Ran the last lap with Beth in the front cos she was going really well but out on her own, could hardly keep up with her! Other than that just did the timing. Still resting on the training a bit, not feeling 100%.

Tuesday Sep 26

other (PE) 45:00 [2]
Rounders in PE, was quite hard work actually! Not feeling that great though, think I might be going down with Tom's cold...so decided to give athletics and basketball a miss to recouperate instead of getting myself run down, as theres so much going around at the moment.

Monday Sep 25

cycling 38:00 [3]10 km (3:48 / km) +50m 3:42 / km
Actually feeling ok after the weekend, wanted some exercise so went out for bike ride as far as Halmore rd junction and back. 20 out and 18 back.
Note
So, last athletics event of the season done and I'm fairly happy with how its gone...come on leaps and bounds (literally) in long jump in the last couple of weeks, and everything is steadily improving. Feel generally stronger in the legs and core especially and more robust. Shame I havn't improved in HJ for such a long time though. Anyway, roll on the orienteering/XC season, I'm ready for it now!
