orienteering race 1:04:59 [4]*** 5.8 km (11:12 / km) +300m 8:54 / km
spiked:14/16c slept:8.0 weight:61.2kg
Twin Peak Day 2 and Interland selection, had an alright run, just not fit enough. Course was tough with a lot of climb. Moving much better than yesterday but still not great - Jo passed me and I just can't run through terrain as well as she can, also not as fast on track runs.

Saturday Oct 21

Event: Twin Peak Weekend

orienteering race 1:04:08 [3]*** 4.7 km (13:39 / km) +170m 11:33 / km
spiked:9/13c weight:61.2kg
Twin Peak day 1, Errwood Forest. Very tough, mostly green forest and tough moorland. Really steep and every time I tried to run I just fell over! Struggled on the terrain, I'm a soft southerner! Lost time in a couple of places too.

Wednesday Oct 18

cycling 25:00 [1]6 km (4:10 / km) +10m 4:08 / km
Easy cycle from home, was going to go for longer but was feeling quite tired so just turned back after the first climb.

Tuesday Oct 17

running tempo 21:01 [5]4.25 km (4:57 / km) +0m 4:57 / km
slept:8.0 weight:61.4kg shoes: Asics GT-2110
Feeling really tired when I got home from school and went to bed for half an hour, then dad dragged me out and ran really well, think the rest helped! Had bit of a stich for most of the run but just ran through it. Went down to canal, along and back down main road.
other (PE (rounders)) 45:00 [1]
Really easy, inside sports hall so very little effort required, except when batting which was pretty intense for a couple of minutes.

Mrs P-D told me that after half term I can have PE practicals for either catching up on work or for training, because dance and gym would be pointless for me. Great, because it means I'll be able to do some runs from school over the winter, in the daytime when its light and on better terrain (and with hills!) than I have around home.

Monday Oct 16

Note
slept:8.0 (rest day)
Had a rest day, feeling quite run down after this half term, more mentally than physically, cos I've been working much harder and more than I ever have before. Think that showed in yesterday's run. Back to training tomorrow, hopefully get a quality session in before tailing off for the rest of the week before Twin Peaks next weekend.
