Sunday Jun 15

Avon League with Stroud AC.

Hammer - first comp (only done one training session). 19.75, 22.00 (pb) and a NT. Definitely more to come, was just standing!

Jav - pb 25.10 (3 strides), 22..., 21... ran out of room on 2nd + 3rd throws.

HJ - 1.35 o 1.40 o 1.45 xxx but jumping in jav boots and not bothered - was at same time as jav. Chloe H won, jumped 1.63, I was 2nd

Saturday Jun 14

Glos Schools, HJ and Shot.

HJ before shot, ankle aching, didn't want to do too many so 1.36 o 1.42 o 1.48 o , changed shoes and went to shot. Sophie C still jumping but eventually I won on countback, qualified for SW.

Shot 8.02, 8.68, NT (awful) - disappointed. Tense and annoyed cos events running late - hadn't had time to warm up and fully focus.

In the end won both, qualified for SW for both, but likely only to do shot. Another chance for a pb next weekend.

Shot - 3 throws 9m+, best 9.15 (pb) so really good preparation for Sat.

7 on bike + 6 on arc trainer + 2.5 on rowing machine (5x100)

Gym, light plyo type stuff, running on big half ball thing and some hopping and stuff. Definitely a lot weaker and more painful on bad ankle, needs work.

Tuesday Jun 10

High jump horrible - felt all wrong, runup a mess and not balanced and just eugh. supposed to be competing this weekend, eek!

But shot really good! Best throw 9.03 (pb) - confident for Saturday now :)

Coaching at school, demonstrating a bit but not really much activity.

Really really need to teach Imy to hurdle in the next 2 weeks!

too hot! absolutely baking all day, even still at 6.30. just too hot to train!

Quite a good session, mostly just standing throws.

fast, 3 stride trail leg drills over 80m hurdles, but hit trail leg quite heavily on ground after one (bad ankle) and it felt a bit dodgy after that. hamstrings also a bit tight so skipped the sprints.

playing with the nerf for warm down - awesome thing! really good for jav technique actually!
