Run 58:30 [2] 10.5 km (5:34 / km)

Gentle off road loop down grassy section
Legs don't feel too heavy after yesterday.
First 60Km week this year! Very happy with that!

Run 4:30:00 [2] 31.0 km (8:43 / km) +1300m 7:12 / km

Long Run supporting the 3Ps
A tough day out with Charlie and the dog. David Anderson joined us for most until he had to bail with his back.
I tried to go easy on food and drink but ended up really thirsty and finishing almost everything. 2 SiS bars and a handful of dates.
It was a spectacular day out, we went off the beaten track, taking the Southerly ascent up PyG, then the old race path to the road and Park Fell up to Ing then back via Little Ing and gaping gill. So lots of time on feet in rough terrain.

Run 15:00 [2] 3.0 km (5:00 / km)

Run to Charlie's with a cash stop.

Bike 35:00 [4]

35 minutes on the turbo. Long intervals for aerobic base.
2 x 10 minute intervals with 5 minute rests
first effort: 160 bpm
second effort: 165 bpm
Max HR: 178 bpm

Continued work on glutes but breathing went too shallow. Must work more on breathing.

Run 48:00 [2] 8.0 km (6:00 / km)

Gentle run with Kirsty around Ardsley straight after bike session.

Run 48:00 [3] 10.5 km (4:34 / km)

Off road loop down the stony path.
I felt terrible to start. I really need to sort out my eating. However, I felt more positive as the run went on. I noticed that the glutes work is paying off but I need to do more. Controlling the "belt" that the physio mentioned is very useful for the breath especially on the downhills.
It was depressing at the start but I have to remember that this is the first step on the road to recovery, not the last!

S&C 20:00 [1]

Hip circuit. Noticed that I have already lost some control so I need to keep on top of this!

Bike 35:00 [3]

Long intervals on the turbo.
Session aimed at improving core aerobic capacity.
It was startling to see how much I have lost in the 5 months or so. I couldn't get over 170 HR and struggled to get it to 150. I spent the last effort really concentrating on driving with the glutes
Max heart rate: 170
Average for first effort: 155
Average for second effort: 165
