Good race. The race started downhill so I took off at the beginning of the race. for the first half loop I ran with some guys and then they started to pull ahead. I increased the effort but it started to get really hard. near the end of the first loop Kip pulled ahead. going into my second loop I refocused on competing and made a goal to try and get closer to Kip. Throughout the second loop my focus switched from just continuing to keep up the effort to competing and getting closer to Kip. legs were tired during the last lap and cd. Need to keep working on focusing on competing and not on the hard.
