This workout went well. I was able to push myself hard so that by the end of the workout I was very tired. my focus on the workout was good as well. one thing that I needed to work on while in the pool is keeping my arms closer to my body when they are moving.
30min of running stretches
For this run I ran with Hailee and Nicole. we had a great time exploring the area (and learning how to get to confederation collage from LU). this run went well, although I was still tired from the pool workout earlier in the day. after the run I was a little rushed to get to my class, as a result I was only able to get the first three stretches in.
-pre activation -strength exercises: donkey kicks and glute bridge -15min WU -16min surge/steady: 2.5 min steady and 0.5min surge -15min CD -hip mobility -strength: 5 sets of 10 pushups and 90 abs -stretches and rolling
I think that the workout went very well. It was hard to keep up the steady after the surge, but with Paige running with me I was able to push myself. Once the steadies and surges were done, we went into cool down. At first it was tiring even at CD pace, but after a while I was able to calm down my breathing and start to relax. For the first bit of CD my right glute was a bit sore. After a few minutes into the CD, my Glute no longer felt sore.
I ran for 30 minutes. overall this run went well. my glutes and IT band were a bit tight from the weekend but a lot less tight than they were the day before. Because this was an easy run, I ate about 30 minutes before I ran. eating this close to running did not negatively impact my running at all. while stretching after this run, I had a hard time focusing on stretching. my lack of focus was probably because this was my first day of University.

The workout went well. throughout the tempo I was figuring out what pace was right for me. Although it felt like I could have gone faster, I think I ran at an okay pace. after the tempo I had a bit of difficulty running at the pace that I ran for the WU. Once the workout was finished I had a lot of fun swimming in Lake Superior.
