The goal in this race was to push myself, and to start slow and work my way faster, and to kick early.

I definitely pushed myself to the limit today. I started slow and worked faster. The kick was not ideal though.

Starting slow and working faster is definitely a whole different beast of a race. Typically when I race I want to die at bout half way or just before, today I was feeling good at halfway and could even increase my pace to pass people. In the race I got behind 1 guy and I held on to him to the second last lap and tried to kick early and passed him, then he passed me and I crushed him in the last 60 metres of the race. I think if i had just ran my race and not overthought his race i would have been faster.
