X country (progression) 30:00 [3]

2 laps of progression running

Felt like I got a lot out of myself, just not all of it. Felt like I could have ran another 50 meters and been dead.

Quote "‘When you walk, one foot is always on the ground. When you run, most of the time you are actually airborne. For example: a 6-foot-tall runner with feet about 1 foot long was found to take 1,250 steps while running 8-minute miles. Thus, while covering 1 mile—5,280 feet—he was in touch with the ground for 1,250 feet and airborne for 4,030 feet.

Put another way, he was in the air for 76% of the time. So don’t think of it as a 10-mile run. Think of it as 7 miles of flying.’ - unknown

X country (tempo) 45:00 [3]

It was an okay workout today. I don't know why, but it was an extreme mental struggle to push myself today. About 30 mins in I had a terrible fit of coughing which stopped me dead in my tracks. Again, today felt very fast, I can tell that I am returning to my old pace very quickly.

X country (interval) 1:00:00 [3]

15 min warmup
2 min run
2 min hard run
x3
5 min run
repeat once

Felt good today, I feel like I could have put more effort in the last couple sets. Although effort was lacking I was definitely going much faster than my usual pace. Likely due to the rest day yesterday. I can feel myself improving drastically.

Quote- "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart"
- The Bible/ Hebrews 12:1-3/ Rebekkah

Great workout today, I felt very relaxed throughout. I feel like I could have gone longer. I really like the trails at centennial park. Love long run days.
