Saturday Feb 23 #

Running 1:25:00 [3] 12.0 km (7:05 / km)

Pre-act, 15 up, active, 1500m race (4:06), 20 down, hip mobility, stretch, roll.

Not as good today, felt similar to yesterday in terms of the warm up but didn't compete nearly as much. I was moving up well through ~7-800m but saw the daunting #4 on the lap counter and started thinking about how far and how hard it was gonna be. I'd like to think that the k from yesterday effected me, but you can still compete if you don't feel good.

Note

The indoor season in general was ok. The process was decent but I think the times still aren't quite lining up with my fitness yet. On the other hand, I had no major injuries and have gotten a lot better at running workouts. I had some good races, but also some very bad ones so moving forward I need to work on consistency with races. I want to be able to run well on race day no matter what. I've also learned that I can be more competitive on even the little things at practice, this competitiveness will help me race, and train well moving forward. I've also learned that I'm going to need to change something to get different results.

Friday Feb 22 #

Pre-act, 15 up, active, 1k race (2:32.1), 20 down, hip mobility, stretch, roll, ice.

Pretty good race today. Did not feel good on the warmup at all, but just told myself "you don't gotta feel good to run good". Fought to not be out the back end today but was, though my 200 split was ok. Moved up well and really competed today. Had some not-so-good thoughts today but just said F it at 600. Ended up 4th in the section with a solid pb, looking forward to doing the same thing tomorrow!

Wednesday Feb 20 #

Pre-act, 15 up, full active, 2 x (3 x 300m @ ~51), 2 min between sets, spike up, (200m, 3 min rec, 150m) fast and flowy (26.9, 19.5), 15 down, hip mobility, sit and push, stretch, roll, ice.

Meh workout today, was a little quick on most splits or a little slow, only hit one 51. Didn't feel too smooth on the second set either. Faster stuff was better, felt pretty strong and flowy on it.

Tuesday Feb 19 #

Pool Workout 45:00 [3] 4.5 km (10:00 / km)

Pre-act, dodgeball, 6 min swim + kick, drills, the classic ( 3 x 5 x 40s ), DWR to 45, hip mobility, drills, strides, med ball, stretch, roll, ice.

Decent workout today. Got competitive on the swim and worked hard on the drills. Good effort on the pool workout.

Monday Feb 18 #

Poor choice of attire today, still a good workout. Worked into it a bit and really got moving at the end. It was nice to compete with D-man at the end.

Sunday Feb 17 #

Pre-act, 4 lunges, 75 run, 20 hoh drills, hip mobility, med ball, stretch, roll, ice.

Chilly one today, but a good one nonetheless. Pretty sore today but all in a good way.
