Saturday Aug 3 #

Pre-act, easy loop (14:55), hard loop (10:52), easy loop (13:58), hard loop (11:28), easy loop (15:03), hip mobility, sit and push, stretch, roll.

Solid effort today. Nice to have Ben to work with on the first one, but was alone for the second one. Worked into the second one a bit too much, next time I'll try and get right into the grind zone as soon as I can on the last loop. Still rolled it down pretty quick and got in a good effort; barely continuous.

30 elliptical and 70 run. Felt pretty good but kept it relaxed today. Bellrose loop + some at the end. Good strength.

Pre-act, swim and kick (2:55), drills, 4 x (60,45,30,15), DWR to 45, hip mobility, drills, form drills, strides, med ball, stretch, roll.

Swim is getting better. The workout was ok, but still trying to get a better effort out. Post stuff was great, finally figured out how to run from the new drills, just have to apply it lol.

Monday Jul 29 #

Pre-act, 15 up, 3 x (6 @ tempo, 2 @ ~xc race effort, 1 hard) w 2 min between sets, 15 down, hip mobility, weights, stretch, roll.

Ran pretty smooth with Jett on the first set, felt hard for the speed we were going but figured it was an opportunity to be able to work with someone. During the second set I got a wicked cramp and could barely breath and I guess I was thinking about how run down I felt from yesterday so I fought it and had to walk it off on the recovery between the second set. It was pretty weird cause cramps are usually not bad to run through, but I jogged for 1 then did the third set, which was pretty good. Next time I'll try relaxing and use it to get better.

Rolled this morning and was working pretty hard, challenged myself and ran with Jordo when the others turned around, ended up going out a little far and slowing down a bit so I was a little OT. Felt pretty wrecked after this one but was happy to be feeling fit.
