WARM UP Jog to the Start

Orienteering race (Great Tower Blue) 1:05:48 [3] 6.23 km (10:34 / km)

(distance is from Garmin, not what the course length was, that was 5.2km, 275m) ----- Really good to number 1 and 2, 5th on both, but messed up 3 lots and was walking most of that leg - that was pretty much the only big mistake but it cost me 4 mins or so, realised half way to the control that there was a better and easier route along the path and over the top. Was quite happy with control flow and accuracy, hitting most of them very accurately and spiking them. Felt sick and hungry half way round but i wasn't going awfully fast anyway. Near the end got some more energy and dropped Francis finally and got the controls bang on. Overall a much better performance and result than last week at Grizedale so just need to begin on improving my fitness and improve my compass work.

Orienteering (All Exercises) 1:42:57 [3] 8.96 km (11:29 / km)

NWJS training, this is 6 exercises (i think) nailed all except slopes - messing up the longer leg (realisation i have to work on being accurate on longer legs). Pretty happy with the training exercises though. Not a bad area i thought it was good for relocation as i thought it was very feature-full. Clock relay after (not included in time or distance watch strap broke lol) where i was teamed up with ma bro and we won by i think about 10 seconds or something so was very surprised, except tripped on a root and rolled around in a marsh whilst caitlin stood their laughing herself to death :(
