Note
(rest day)

Body is fatigued and calves/shins are sore and tired. Ideally this would have been a pool day, but it wasn't open early enough before work and I worked late in Salinas.... excuses. I'll be better next week.

5 AM

Running 18:00 [3] 3.6 mi (5:00 / mi)

Easy shake out with the pups
4 PM

Running long 45:00 [3] 9.0 km (5:00 / km)

PreAct, roll
45 medium long run
hip mob, basic, stretch, rope, roll, ice

Notes: Super hot outside. This was rough to start - legs were fatigued and body was sore. After a long day of work I didn't feel like doing this, but after about 20 minute things loosened up and got rolling. Felt great by the end.

Note

Went to physio. Having some tightness in right calf and shin. Got things loosened up.
4 AM

Running tempo 45:00 [3] 9.0 km (5:00 / km)

15WU, 3x 4min @ tempo with 1min rec, 16CD
p&s, stretch, rope, roll, ice

Notes: Good effort - much better than last week's tempo. Didn't settle in the middle when I felt tired. Pushed hard. Could have recovered faster on the cool down.

Monday Sep 25, 2017 #

7 PM

Biking 40:00 [3] 4.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Short and easy ride with Dillon to try to catch the sunset.

Sunday Sep 24, 2017 #

Running long 1:05:00 [3] 13.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

PreAct, 6x lunges, roll
65 minute long run
20x HOH, hip mob, basic
stretch, rope, roll, ice

Notes: Decent long run but legs felt heavy and body was fatigued. Really wanting to crush these long runs. Maybe need to do some shake out runs on Saturdays to amp up for long run on Sunday.
