Sunday Feb 11 #

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]

didn’t have a watch again but I ran the way to the start and did all my drills.

Orienteering 1:03:37 [3] 6.0 km (10:36 / km)
shoes: INOV B&R

It said 6km on the map but I will’ve ran further but still no watch so here we are.
Black Beck - Blue - 6.0km - 63.37min - 10th overall.
Messed up #11 cos I ran onto the wrong hill as I wasn’t paying attention.
#12 I was expecting it far far too soon
#15 ran in far far too early and ended up running through all the hashed green instead of just running along the path for a tiny bit longer.
#14 didn’t orientate my map correctly and went off in completely the wrong direction hitting a wall I wasn’t meant too.
I felt quite sloppy but overall I’m pleased with this considering it was my first blue.

Note

Rich T showed me how to tape my ankle (cos of my sprain) and I think having the tape on for my course today really helped so I’m going to carry on doing that for a little while.

Saturday Feb 10 #

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3]

school training day - was partnered with lovely laura
We did a line course - trying to let her lead.
10min warm up (drills) waiting for the others so we didn’t freeze to death.
Star exercise w Laura.
Warm up with Ellie and Laura - again so we didn’t freeze.
Course talk-O (about 1.4km and we probably took from 10-15min) w Ellie and Laura taking a leg each telling the others our plan.

Everyone ran off before I had a chance to take off my waterproof trousers so I had to work to get near the front but I never caught up w laura till we got lost ahahah felt like reasonable fast running, I could tell that my fitness has gone down after like 3-4weeks of injury and illness.

Run around canal and a tiny extended route back, trying to start building up speed as I’ve been off for so long.

Don’t have any distances but ran 3 flipped courses around school which added something to it.

Tuesday Feb 6 #

Off ill today so didn’t want to take it too hard.
