S6D - Day 6 - Grandtully

Due to everything being so vague I was absolutely terrified for the first controls not knowing where the hell I was and hoping I would find it. Then lost 45s on 6 by going to far left and running straight past it. Scrappy on 8 and then 9 was an absolute shambles. I took a bearing and just ran hoping I would find it got pushed off by elephant tracks and just so confused but somehow magically found it ...grim control.. but I was very lucky. Felt like I was so anxious this whole run , not due to pressure but instead due to a lack of confidence in this vague terrain, so definitely need to do more in stuff like this to build up my confidence.

Lovely week and chuffed to take the overall W.

S6D- Day 5 - Craig a barns

Knew I was gonna have to really attack the terrain If I wanted to do well but really struggled physically out there. Was v feeling dodgy through the start and then made a 45s mistake on 2 and then a 2 minute mistake on 4 by going about 20 metres to the right :( .V happy with RC to 8 Clean after but so did physically ...11 is my least favourite control ever.

S6D -DAY 4 - Culteuchar

Raz central realistically.

on the way to the start probably felt the worst I have felt before a race ever the Tummy was NOT having it today. Got to the start and luckily dad provided the goods of a gel which settled it enough until the adrenaline kicked in.

Made 10s hesitation on 9 and then just v slow and steady to 11 +12 but spiked so all gucci. lost about 1 min but probs one of the cleanest runs a long time. V good compass + planning very happy with this one.

Cruise round Crieff sprint - v fun

Planned ahead v well (lots of time to think due to the slow pace) but still v fun and well planned for the not prime area.

S6D - Day 3 - Dundurn

Went out knowing I had to be clean as It was a techy area so took it slow on the techy bits and razzed it on the easy features. Was very clean (run of my life) until 6 where I got distracted by another control although I was heading straight to the control. NB. have confidence in compass. Same problem on 10. At 11 the map just didn't make sense to me , NB work on vague green grim stuff. Overall a pretty solid run Lost 1.30 due to nav need to Clean these silly mistakes for the Middle races next year.

S6D- Day 2 -Edinchip
Felt really good in the Open area at the start with good plans and execution but I knew I would be losing time to later starters however I kept it clean. Loved the transport leg absolutely razzed it. Then overshot 7 because I never saw the fence and then 8 I didn't have a strong enough plan and lost 2 minutes due to idiocy. Then got really confused on the river RC leg but ah well definitely a good throw away day.
