Porty loop just to test the legs. Felt quite good once moving.

Hill Running race 1:02:30 [5] 9.3 km (6:43 / km) +778m 4:44 / km

Carnethy 5. Not a bad day for it. Boggy underfoot in parts but all in all not bad conditions. Set out at reasonable pace but got caught up in the pack after the gate heading towards Scald Law. Managed to find some space about half way up Scald and set into good rhythm...feeling strong going up. Over to South Black still feeling good but rolled ankle on way down, a bit sharp but didn't slow down too much. Strong up East and West Kip but not great on the downs (got into a bit of a race with Mike Reid, stronger on the ups but he got distance on the downs). A good pace through to Carnethy but watching the clock and could see I was border line for the hour (target for the race). Not bad going up but again but lost time on the down in the heather, one fall!...hit the hour at the gate and pushed hard to finish in 1.02. Not quite the target today but still pleased with 66th position overall. A good feed to finish it all off...good day.

Run to work after nursery drop off. Feeling a bit tight in legs. Not sure why, had two days off running.

Strides at St Marks park. Loop with Andy first (prob slightly quicker than I'd like today!) Not overdoing strides with race tomorrow and missed circuits.

Cycle to / from work. Knocked off the bike on way home by another cyclist. Nothing too bad but knocked knee.

Intervals - 8,6,4,3,2,1 (90 rec after 8 & 6, 60 after rest). Did out and back on cycle paths. Mark in good form today and pushed from the start. Managed to stay with him for 8 but dropped off on 6. Stayed in reasonable distance for the rest but had to push hard. Very please to push through to the end but done by the end....excellent session.
3.36, 3.44, 3.21, 3.28, 3.21, 3.07.
