Felt out of it, didn’t want to run, pulled neck/shoulder muscle earlier, much pain (prob from swimming). Should have gone early or not at all. Stopped a bunch, quit, got icy/hot patches, ate a Napoleon. Need better nutrition weekends for long run.

Penance for eating sh*t all week and to push b/c already in there. Figured 1.3 pushed to 1.5 not tired but more would’ve been bored. 4x10, 1x5: 14:30, 15:00, 15:45, 15:30, 7:30. Breathing gets easier in later sets.

2mi warmup (3), 60/30 sprints 15m (1.5mi), 1mi run (2). Funny pace graph looks same start to end prob b/c sprinting after lights. Ate crap today long hard stupid event feet tired considered bailing didn’t lift did run good decision run great

5h sleep after long run extremely tired all day + cold grey 65 worked late wanted to go home bed movie but went to pool anyway v glad good swim felt great after. Remember that. 14:30, 15:00, 13:50. *Push thru cold notes takes only 1/2 length to warm up.

Running (Sun Nite Long Run) 1:25:22 [3] 8.5 mi (10:03 / mi)

Goal 8mi to catch up felt scary so focused on first 4. 90 footfalls 2mi figured I should slow but felt good. Practiced Gu @4mi (thanks P!), fine; saw I was doing 10m mi was psyched. Felt great at pace to 8mi - 65deg, cool=better run - felt bit of drop, slowed—goal 9mi to catch up from weeks off but at 8.4 remem P said only add 10%, so stopped. Felt great after, knee all better via stretching, soleus still painful no problem running. Pink clouds. Unicyclist! 1) Gu good may need water 2) too many traffic lights 3) need to plan route ahead too distracting
