Swimming 5:00 [1]

Hi stress day/week, v depleted = crap eating = tired depressed. Yawning all way to pool, debated a lot, turned around etc. Experimented going anyway. Dizzy in locker room, sat, falling asleep, crying (M sonogram). Treated it as an experiment to see if I could turn everything around and leave feeling great, or get sick. Did one lap, stopped a lot, breath in chest, limbs tired. “This is not fun, go home.”

Running (Sprints - Run home from w) 56:35 [3] 5.5 mi (10:17 / mi)

Good run & temps. I hate sprints I am awesome for doing them. Run 2 mi, 30/30 sprints 30 mins (3.2mi), run .3 mi. Lifting def wears on my first mile gotta switch days :( Stopped for a Gu after 10m sprints which was just quitting in disguise b/c didn’t need Gu just hate sprints. VERY HELPFUL: being mindful of form next 20m w mantra “mind-ful-sprint-ing” = better form, less taxing, time pass faster. Pushed 5 mins further then 5 more b/c still feeling v lame about swim. Feeling quads last 5mins sprinting good sign. Saw guy down hall weird. I hate hate sprints hate them.

Good swim the usual didn’t want to go scared of cold but I just go now. “It’s what I do.” 63 deg. Used techniques from Tot Immersion podcast - worked! Dec 10-20 secs off some laps: 14:00, 13:55,15:10 (10lngths). Started a fourth leg and quit just bored. Not proud feel lame. Feel I’m not pushing enough like real training. Got Tot Imm book from lib = 3 weeks to cut time.

Running long 1:51:49 [2] 11.0 mi (10:10 / mi)

Good run. Good weather cloudy cool. Stopped at 6.2mi for water & Gu drank too much at once belching at start of next leg. Started same: scared of mileage, worried too long, boring, hard - wasn’t. Was fine felt good whole way need to stop worrying. No pain but at end felt need to strengthen knees quads etc. Pace off hopped at lights a lot but can’t find lightless route.
