Running 2:24:56 [3] 14.0 mi (10:21 / mi)

Didn’t expect to go today had no Gu, water, etc. Glad I pushed myself to go, pick up Gu on way, stop at 5mi to buy water, eat, pee. Great run! 70deg. Feeding Is key. L knee hurt on 1mi warm up tightened laces then fine. Calves tired at 12 only bad. Focused on running light. Might have pushed further but had an appt probably best. Moving long run to Saturday.

V good to 5 mi then running heavy and slow. L knee dull pain most of way stopped to change to thicker socks need new sneaks. Multiple gross toenails. Proud making intended mileage happen this week also feeling v lame and behind need to do more of everything. This was just to get miles in will try things to improve next week.

Intended 7 cut short due to evening interview and went out too late due to inability to rise from nap due to eating a pkg of shortbread cookies due to sugar addiction. Disappointed missed a gorgeous 77 deg day. Getting stricter this should help.

Running long 2:02:00 [3] 12.0 mi (10:10 / mi)

Goal 12, at 8 wanted to do 14, at 10 knees said no, 12 was just enough. Practiced running light and did some strides. Stopped at 6 to Gu/drink. New sneakers OK. Practiced running legs tired last 2 mi. really need to work legs out. Stairs, ankle weights. Time is not perfect b/c forgot to turn Strava back on and missed 0.6-2.0 miles. 10 mi route was 1:40:54 (10:05 mi) that is good considering my lack of training.
