What a day!!

Leg 1 - with Rach and Tom, gorgeous sunset. Felt GREAT!!

Leg 2 - Paul and Phil. Hills look HUGE in dark. Amazing dawn and sunrise. Not so keen on the descent off Fairfield and Seat Sandle

Leg 3 - Nic, Rhys and Rosie (up steel fell). Found ash ambrose on high raise. Felt mint until Rosset pike. Found Lova around Bowfell. Started to feel sick and had a bit of self doubt from great end. LOVED going up Broad Stand, didn’t have a wobbler there at all! Scree coming off scafell was so fun, rest of the descent was not good. Calf had begun to hurt at this point

Leg 4 - Max and Jack. What larl hero’s these two are!! Absolutely got me through this leg, just did not want to eat, thought I wasn’t going to make it and just found the descents a bit hard. Their positive encouragement, shit chat and force feeding worked a treat and got me to honister bang on time

Leg 5 - Dad, Lucy, Matt and Rosie (up dale head) The descent on Robinson was HARD. Few moments where I felt like crying, calf had become fairly painful. And some fun blisters had developed, amazed I didn’t get any before that point really! Didn’t struggle on the road. Very emotional finish. So proud of myself!

Such a special experience, so so thankful for having such fantastic support. Can’t quite get my head around what my body and mind have achieved. Baffled of how the mind just allows the body to keep going, like every time I wanted to stop the legs just rolled on. And knew I must be getting more tired because the descents were getting slower, but climbing felt fine, and as soon as I finished suddenly the aches started everywhere. It’s just mad!! Very very sore now and very very proud of myself!
