Not the best race. The distance was in my favor over previous years but I still managed to mess up the pacing. Everybody was going really fast for the first 2k as it was on tracks but once we went into the woods and on some uphill terrain I started overtaking people. Finished around 35th. It was in the woods near the racecourse at Cartmel where the last Cumbria schools orienteering champs were and the couirse was on the same paths my course went on.

I have the Cumbria cross country champs tomorrow so I needed to find out if my ankles were good enough to run. I went up the hay and along the top to setters and back again as the soft ground wasn't too bad. Ankles are fully recovered so I can start running again
