Middles are not my strong point but this one felt really good. Made a bit of an embarrassing error on 5 coming out the control down the hill rather than up but I rescued it quickly. Yet again very slow through the course but happy with most of my route choice.

My running is currently pretty limited so I was taking this weekend as a chance to focus on execution and choosing good route choice rather than speed. Flowed round the first 3 controls fairly well apart from hitting the fence on the way to one a bit before the gap. Decided due to the lack of speed the best idea for the long leg was to go straight. Stuck to the purple line all the way to the parking then lost the direction a bit after crossing the track trying to avoid some marshes. Took the open bit fairly slowly and hit the wall fence junction fine. Went down the fence for a bit then went up and carried on on the shortest route. Everything was tracked out so once I got within 30m of the control it was straight forward to spike. No issues in the little loop after that but I ended up going through some big crags on the way to 7. Only mistake was on the way to the last control because I ended up way too far left but didn’t realise. Painfully slow and I was hurting quite a bit by the end but pleased.
