S & C 15:00 [2]

Thursday Nov 9 #

Running warm up/down (CD) 2:29 [2] 0.4 km (6:12 / km)

7 PM

Running long (Wheathill Hash) 49:55 [4] 9.6 km (5:12 / km) +164m 4:47 / km
ahr:159 max:182

Somehow I'm feeling better than yesterday, despite me expecting to be going pretty slowly. A fast hash in general with some nice slopes for the legs. Not sure what to do before Sunday's event; might go out tomorrow or just cycle on Saturday.

Wednesday Nov 8 #

11 AM

Running warm up/down (WU) 10:00 [2] 1.7 km (5:53 / km)
ahr:151 max:166

Running race (East Devon XC) 19:11 [5] 4.87 km (3:56 / km) +99m 3:35 / km
ahr:181 max:192

1st Round of XC this year so my main goal was just to get through. Guess this led to me not pushing on the hills and so posting a slower time than I would have wanted. Still feeling good though and nice for the team to win the trophy.

Tuesday Nov 7 #

9 PM

Cycling (Rollers) 40:00 [3]

Chose some cycling instead of an athletics session given that it's XC tomorrow

Monday Nov 6 #

5 PM

Running (Easy Run) 34:14 [3] 6.87 km (4:59 / km) +69m 4:45 / km
ahr:153 max:172

Taking it easy after yesterday, still quite sore in places. Also beginning to remember why I don't like road running in the dark

Sunday Nov 5 #

11 AM

Orienteering race (Southern Championships) 1:31:37 [5] *** 13.67 km (6:42 / km) +289m 6:04 / km
ahr:172 max:186 spiked:17/24c

Given the nausea and dizziness I had yesterday, I'd say I turned out fairly well. Still being a bit under the weather, mixed with some sloppy navigation in places meant I didn't quite manage the time I wanted, but I'm fairly happy with my run. Need to work on concentrating consistently on a course, not just after I've made a mistake.
