I HAVE SOME REALLY GOOD NEWS PEOPLE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED!

today I went to the track again in Vilamoura for one final hit out in the sun. I ran a 300s session. I ran (4 x 300) x 2 (2 x 300) x 1 = 10 x 300m

I took 90 seconds between reps walking to the start again, and 7 mins between sets.

I have just looked on Strava at previous training of a similar sort (10 x 300m). I seem to remember the session I looked at (31/01/2017) I had done a 2km tempo then 10 x 300m off maybe 1 minute recovery or something like that.

I was running 52,53,54,55 in January / Feb last year - AND GUESS WHAT I MANAGED TODAY!

I am so happy! I know that I had longer recovery and split the reps BUT to even run sub 3 min/km for any length of time is a bloody good feat. It's only taken a year and and 8 months.

I'm also really happy with my km reps session on Monday - I held the pace for longer than I had expected. Same happened today and I'm so proud that I have managed to persevere despite how hard it has been.

Here's to things to come. And lots of it.

Back to Edinburgh tomorrow for the orienteering training camp with Harrison and Alex and hopefully some rain haha.
