chilled one round park Guell while marina was at work. very very cool.

Hike 2:43:34 [2] 8.75 km (18:42 / km) +601m 13:55 / km

What Marina described as a "little walk" - we speak 3 of the same languages but the lack of communication was real.

3 hours later, we're up and down Montserrat... a mad mountain that like is just in the middle of the flat planes of the Llobregat and towers over everything at 1200m high. Some cool geology going on also! Awesome to be back hiking with her and with views of the Pyrenees, wow.

straight to the rock climbing wall in the olympic park. absolutely dreamy. using the harness and autobelay for the first time also - big Doms in shoulders.

another fairly beefy tempo / efforts at the track. some brutal mountain breeze on the top bend but anyway.

4 x 1 mile with 400m recovery (sort of jog walk not sure about 3.5mins)

managed sub 7 on every one. pleased with this.

mental strength wavering going into the final one: "should I split it into 2 x 800m, 4 laps is quite a long way..." need to learn not to listen to that wee voice as turned out the last one was my fastest anyway. (6.50)

feeling quite fit at the moment, all the gyming and am eating well with the Spanish family. may have spoken too soon as am spending this weekend in Barca with Marina probs knee deep in sangria and tapas - balance is key?
