I slept really badly as I was worrying about my foot (I had done too much reading yesterday as was feeling very pessimistic). I put off running as long as possible but managed to have a 30' nap around 6pm then ran after that. My foot was actually much better. Only pain in 4 strides throughout the whole run. The shoes may or may not have made a difference compared to Wednesday. I also managed to do 6 strideouts at the end on the lane without any pain. I'm feeling slightly better about the whole thing but I'm sure that if I went and ran on rocky terrain the pain would be back pretty quickly.

slept:7.5 shoes: Inov-8 Roclite 290s

All of the snow disappeared overnight so the fields are now water logged and super muddy, which is good for my foot. I took it really steady, concentrating hard on keeping my gait normal (otherwise my foot tenses up and the arch starts to ache). I had a twinge of pain on 19 strides out of about 5500, which is better than a few days ago but probably because I went so slowly.

I was able to work a little harder on the bike today for some reason. I almost enjoyed it! Listening to a new Stephen Booth detective novel helped.

I did this through the snowy fields with Matt. I tried hard to run with a 'normal' gait which was surprisingly hard to do. It meant a few more twinges of pain but no worse than previously, perhaps slightly better than 2 days ago. I did 4 strides at the end on the grass as any hard surface was too icy. My foot started to complain a bit after 4 so I stopped.
Surprisingly my upper body is only slightly sore after the strength session yesterday. I obviously wasn't lifting enough weight!

Alternated 5' sitting, 5' standing. My foot felt fine, even when putting pressure down standing.
