Didn’t sleep well, probably because I was trying too hard.
Nice jog around the fields. There doesn’t seem to be any damage after yesterdays session. Hamstrings fine.

3 x circuits. Same hill as last time. Again, in some way fun, also hard but not in a horrible way that would make be dread them next time. I'm doing the intervals on time rather than distance which is good as I can aim to hit certain landmarks on the hill for each exercise. I managed to not slow down on the first 2, but struggled to hit the landmarks on the 3rd. I did feel strong though, even on the last one. Hamstrings fine during session.

Hamstrings much better today. Ever so slightly tight whilst running but really a big improvement. Felt rather good on the whole. Strides a lot slicker too.

Loop through the woods with Matt. Same story with my hamstrings today. They are perhaps a little better than yesterday though. Enjoyed the speed variations. Felt good.

Out & back on the High Peak Trail again. Despite an especially lengthy warm up I felt really stiff at first and hamstrings really tight. It seemed hard to get up to a reasonable pace but after sticking at it for a while things get easier and my legs loosened off. Taking the 2 small hills and an accidental fast mile out of the equation I averaged 6:40-6:50/mile for the first half and 6:20-6:40/mile for the second half, which felt fairly comfortable. I did start to feel my hamstrings tightness up a little towards the end again.

Around the fields/ woods with Matt. My hamstrings and right calf were quite tight but eased off (but didn't completely go away) as the run went on. Energy levels good. Strides were a lot better than the other day but I felt like I couldn't quite open up fully because of the hamstring tightness.
