Fartlek 47:07 [3] 7.4 km (6:22 / km)

I actually succeeded in doing this one on hilly terrain. But probably I won't do that again before spring :)
After work I drove to the woods to run this one. And some time later, standing in the dark forest, with wet snow coming from the sky, some dogs barking at distance and no one around I thought that I probably do love this sport if I'm here. I did the warmup and 30 mins fartlek session, but right after that I decided to finish. Usually I'm not afraid of the dark, but this time I felt really uncomfortable.
So I will do these workouts either on weekend during the day or on a treadmill.

Marathon pace 59:50 [3] 12.51 km (4:47 / km)

The avarage pace during this one was 4:40 and I would say I'd run a marathon at that pace more or less comfortably. A year ago when I ran my last fast marathon my average was 4:41, and I'd like to think that I improved during that year. That time my heart rate was higher, I think that's a good sign. On the other hand, I haven't been doing much of a speedwork during the last year since I was training only for ultras, so my legs felt pretty heavy today.

To run a 3-hour marathon my average pace should be 4:16, right now I difinitely won't able to do that. But we have half a year to go!

And a bad thing. Yesterday before the run I squatted playing with my baby girl and something clicked in my right knee giving me pain. This pain didn't bother me during a run, but it bothers me even now (a day later) when squatting (both during up and down) or going up the stairs. I'm not running on wednesday, hope it goes better by thursday.

Supposed to do strides in the end, but nature called so I had to go home fast.
