Finally got out for a bit more of a run. Around 5-10 in i started feeling pain coming on across my knee. Good WO on the elliptical, going into the 2 mins was tough after just doing the 3. Wasn’t too bothered during the elliptical but felt sore afterwards, some snapping during RFEs.

Friday May 11 #

Note
slept:8.0 (injured)

After walking around all day at work, my knee was feeling sore. Stretched with focus on TFL, glutes, and quads.

Thursday May 10 #

Low-impact 1:00:00 [3] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)
slept:8.0 (injured)

Pre act.
Bike (30:00)
DWR (30:00)

Stretch

Got a decent sweat on during the bike and relaxed into it. No pain with biking. DWR was good and refreshing but brought on a bit of pain towards the end.

Note
slept:8.0

Physio w/ Blake
Stretch
Ice bath

IT band is definitely very tight, seems to be TFL and glutes that are doing the pulling. Worked with Blake to loosen both up. Hit some of the trigger points in my glutes and TFL with a ball after getting deep into some stretching. Felt a bit better after physio but still sore with walking after a few minutes.

Wednesday May 9 #

Low-impact 30:00 [3] 3.0 km (10:00 / km)
slept:8.0 (injured)

Pre act.
Bike (30:00)

Easy ride on the bike, bit of discomfort over my knee but definitely didn't make it any worse. Working to loosen up the muscle groups in the legs and lower back with rolling and hard stretching.

Tuesday May 8 #

Pool 45:00 [3] 4.5 km (10:00 / km)
slept:8.0

Pre act.
Spike ball

6min swim
Drills
3x (40sx5 w/ 20s b/w) and 50 b/w sets
10 DWR
Hip mobility
Drills
Hurdle mobility
Stretch

Really good effort on the swim, drills, and WO. Pain was pretty bad in my knee for the drills in and out of water and on the DWR, only bothered me on the WO a bit. Really hit the middle set hard to see what I could get done and still carry through in the last set. Shoulders were exhausted but stayed focused on the effort and was able to carry through!

Low-impact 39:00 [3] 3.9 km (10:00 / km)
slept:8.0

Elliptical (39:00)
Hip mobility
Stretch

Did a lot of moving around during orientation and didn’t stretch as much as I wanted to. Knee was sore to walk but put that to the side and got some good work done on the elliptical but was still very focused on the discomfort and pain. Got off a few minutes earlier than planned because of sharp pain. Did some rolling of my lower back, and focused on stretching out IT bands and quads.
