Fell Running long 2:23:30 [3] 16.69 mi (8:36 / mi) +2950ft 7:22 / mi
shoes: x talon 212

Long Sunday social with Matt , Marc, Ben and Marcus on the fells. Cracking route taking in three big climbs ending with Thieveley. Felt good and comfortable whole way round aside from last two mile, where as it was early and I didn’t eat I ran out of fuel and struggled but now I’m back and have eaten I feel much better. Great route and great company.

Road Running 1:03:05 [3] 9.17 mi (6:53 / mi) +860ft 6:19 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Clayton 2 Kona

Warm up/ Cool down from the Parkrun up and down the hill including a few small laps of the route. Very windy and quite bitterly cold this morning so decided to turn it into a tempo with a few fast miles either side. Worked out at around 4.5 mile warm up and 4.5 mile cool down. Quite hilly but legs felt good

Road Running tempo 16:40 [4] 3.12 mi (5:21 / mi) +168ft 5:05 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Clayton 2 Kona

Very windy Burnley Parkrun. 50mph winds which were bitterly cold and very wet. Decided to not run too hard and save my legs and just turned it into a tempo running 5:20,5:27,5:18 for the mile splits. Very busy aswell so struggled to lap people as I was leading, but all in all a good event feeling sharp for BUCS.

4 x 1 mile off 2 minutes jog on the muddy awful track (more of a grass session) then 4 x 200m off 200m jog.
1 mile reps done in 4:56,4:59,4:56,4:55 then 200m done in between 29-32. Legs felt quite tired tonight so very pleased with those times. Completed with Matty and Josh who are both track runners and held my own so very happy considering that.

Road Running 1:10:01 [3] 10.48 mi (6:41 / mi) +586ft 6:21 / mi
shoes: Hoka one one clayton 2

Steady progressive 70 minutes : felt quite tired to start with as it was an early morning and didn’t sleep great but progressed into it nicely from 7:20-6:20 min/mile pace. Did 36 minutes out (up the hill 580ft of climb) then 34 minutes back which I was comfortably running 6:40-6:20 pace so positive signs. Start of another big mileage week.
