Road Running 1:27:47 [4] 14.08 mi (6:14 / mi) +385ft 6:05 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Clayton 2 Kona

90 minutes Moderate: Run from maddys through Sefton Park to Otterspool Prom and back. 45 out, just short of 43 back. Very windy especially on the way out made it hard work but made it easy to speed up on the way back. Legs felt very good and that pace felt easy until about mile 12 where I turned back into the wind so it was a struggle but still was running 6:10’s. Right glute a tad sore from yesterday but that’s expected. Another solid week in the legs!

Road Running warm up/down 1:04:48 [2] 8.39 mi (7:43 / mi) +329ft 7:27 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Clayton 2 Kona

Warm up and cool down from parkrun with Maddy and a extended loop on my own. Very wet weather and pretty miserable.

Road Running tempo 16:26 [5] 3.14 mi (5:14 / mi) +189ft 4:57 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Clayton 2 Kona

Liverpool parkrun: Didnt know route so took it relatively easy on the first of three laps then pulled away from field, felt pretty comfortable in some awful conditions (wind and rain) and happy to take the win.

Road Running 1:10:12 [3] 10.28 mi (6:50 / mi) +865ft 6:19 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Clayton 2 Kona

Got a busy day so had to get it done early. As it was early didn’t want to set off too hard and aggregate my hip so did 30 mins easy as a bit of a warm up then did 40 mins high steady instead of 70 mins at steady so still worked out at a average of a fast pace. Struggled into it but at 30 mins I felt comfortable raising the pace and by the end felt comfortable running a 6:20 so pretty positive signs.

Grass Running 1:11:23 [3] 9.68 mi (7:22 / mi) +819ft 6:50 / mi
shoes: x talon 212

Easy 70 minutes with Chris round the field, at 50 mins when Chris stopped did 5x 15 second strides. Field was very boggy and wet with an awful wet wind. Thoroughly enjoyed it though having a good chat with Chris and hips feel to have loosened off nicely as they were quite stiff from yesterday.

Treadmill Running intervals 1:20:34 [4] 11.19 mi (7:12 / mi)

Treadmill testing at uni for my mates study. Completed several efforts with scheduled breaks to fill out questionnaires about mental toughness and personality types. Completed W/U then a VO2 max test then had 5 minutes break then completed 10 minutes at 1 stage higher than vo2 max then completed another 10 minutes at 1 stage below to assess 80% of VO2. Then had 20 mins break then completed another 10 minutes at 1 stage below at 80% of VO2 max then ran a flat out (pace covered) 3 time trial flat out. Finished off with a 20 minute warm down. Felt good but boy was it a hard session. Legs will feel it tomorrow I think.

Trail Running 1:11:03 [3] 10.48 mi (6:47 / mi) +548ft 6:28 / mi
shoes: x talon 212

Steady 70 minutes, started on grass but after around 5 mile decided it was too boggy and energy sapping so went on trails/track to finish, legs feeling alright for testing tomorrow.

Road Running 1:08:32 [4] 10.79 mi (6:21 / mi) +687ft 5:59 / mi
shoes: Hoka One One Clayton 2 Kona

Moderate progressive 10 then a short jog home. Tried to keep it relatively flat and headed out on Penrhos Rd and found a cycle path to Y felinheli so just did to 36 minutes then managed to get back in 32 minutes. Legs were stiff to begin with but loosened off nicely.
