1.15 miles of warm-up run. Stretched for 10 minutes. Kept the running motion until start of first mile. Order of today miles - pace, pace, hard, pace, hard. 7:49, 8:03, 7:12, 7:56, 7:40. 12 min total so had whatever time left over to rest/jog around. .85 mile cool down.

Started with a 10 min warm up - 1 mile. Then did a set of Romanians (fast feet, high knees, butt kickers, skips, bounding lunges, cranes, backwards running), with our coach evaluating to make sure everything was perfect in form. Then did a run at Tuscany, where I managed to stay and lead the fast girls for 3/4 of the trail, lost them at the last big hill. Then got back and stretched.

First 30 minutes (not counted in total time) we went over the results and looked at pictures from the meet yesterday. Did a mile warm-up. Followed by 10 minutes of stretching. Then did a 3.2 mile recovery run around the trails on campus. Then cooled down by playing Marco Polo on the field where everyone has their eyes clothes and is running helplessly.

First meet of the year!! Super exciting and nerve-racking. Done this course 5 times now so very familiar, Lincoln Park or as we like to call it, Loopy Lincoln, is 3 loops - 1 big and 2 small - on very flat terrain. It's perfect for a first meet. My knee was bugging me all day and ice was on and off of it throughout the day, didn't get much better for race time. Whatever, we deal with it. Glad that I got 1 minute and 35 seconds faster this year (same course, same date-ish) and overall, a good way to start the cross country meets.

Pretty disappointed in my team's cool down, really short and rushed. After a hard race like the one we just did it is important to get a nice, effective cool down, which I don't believe we got.

Got a nice, long warm-up in. Did enough of the course to understand where we were going and got really warm before the race.

1.5 mile warm-up to the entrance of the Watershed, went a little faster trying to keep up with the faster group of girls. Got there and stretched what needed to be stretched, mostly my claves. 20 min run in and out of watershed ended up being about 4.25 miles for the loop. Ran alone, too fast for the slow group and too slow for the fast group. Kept an up tempo out of the watershed and rally didn't start my cool down until .7 miles left of the run. Good way to warm up for our first meet tomorrow.

Fun game of ultimate frisbee during parliament time. Good way too relax during the school day and hang out. I was one of two girls playing so unfortunately didn't get passed to as much as I would have hoped but I got the disc a fair amount of times. Lots of sprinting, wasn't wearing athletic clothes but it was just a good aerobic exercise.
