Orienteering 58:17 [3] 5.13 km (11:22 / km)

Orienteering out at Collector. Bush was really scrappy and slow, but still managed to make mistakes. Doesn't include warm up (approx 10 mins) or cool down (which was running to bring water to someone who hurt themselves out on the course).

School athletics carnival. Did 100, relay 100, 200, 800 (2:45) and 1500 (5:17). Also did triple jump, high jump, discus, shot put and javelin. Terrible at throwing events and was never going to be good at high jump but really enjoyed all the sprinting.

Night-O on Black Mountain set by Jarrah. Ran with Ella and Davo and really enjoyed it apart from the spiderwebs everywhere. Toilet paper is not the easiest to see at night.

I think I just need to calm myself down during races, don't rush and focus on what I need to do not how other people will go as when I do that I make lots of mistakes.

Orienteering 16:12 [5] 3.2 km (5:04 / km)

MSW - Royal Park. Fast and open but still heaps of fun. Was suppose to start with Ella but she didn't come, still ran fast and tried to focus through the technical loopy sections. Only messed up one control in the last set of butterfly things but really enjoyed it.

MSW - Yarra Valley Grammar. 1st leg of the sprint relay - so much fun. They gave us the maps face up so I knew where I was going for the first half of my run and tried to push the speed a bit from the start, ending up at the front after the oval run. Felt pretty good (much better than yesterday), planned ahead and having a good run. Started to lose a bit of focus towards the end and came out on the oval just behind Ella but couldn't catch her. Was fun :)

MSW - Kurunjang Schools. Mostly a good run for both running and nav (making a map helped a lot) but need to have some more confidence in myself.
