This was fairly horrible from start to finish. Went out earlier than the last few days but it was still really hot. Just felt terrible from start to finish. That was the last run in France, looking forward to some runs in cooler weather now.

Felt ok up until the last few miles. It was just so hot 32/33 degrees. Had to stop under a bridge in the shade for a while at about 8 miles.

Another shorter run due to time constraints and also as I didn’t want to spend too long in the heat. Felt quite good though.

Running - road (Easy/moderate ) 38:38 [3] 5.04 mi (7:40 / mi)
slept:9.0 shoes: Hoka Clifton 4

Sandwiched a run in between a day out visiting a town and an evening out. Ran down to the beach, turned and came back. Really hot again, this area seems to have some of the highest temps in Europe at the minute. Generally easy paced but threw in one faster mile at a steady pace because I felt good.

Really hot today with a bit of breeze so waited until after 7pm to run. Still hot though. Ran along the coast and found an old fisherman’s village interwoven with trails which I ran back through. Quads felt ok but were starting to feel a bit sore at the end of the run. Energy levels were good at the start of the run bit I was starting to struggle towards the end due to the heat, my mouth was totally dry

Note
(rest day)

Didn’t run again today. Quads still sore and we were out for most of the day so I wouldn’t have had much chance to run anyway.

Note
slept:7.0 (rest day)

Had to abandon this evenings run after a quarter of a mile as my quads were just too sore to go on. Felt like being stabbed with every step. I don’t get why they are like this. I run virtually every day, including trail every weekend, yet anytime i do a race with climbing my quads are in agony for days afterwards.

Thought it would be a good idea to go to the gym but headed round only to find it closed.
