Alhaurín el Grande half marathon
Had a great run, particularly given the elevation and the condition of some of the roads on the course (hardly any surface on some of them and big potholes everywhere!). Enjoyed it and felt really strong. Reckon I would have run a big PB on a flatter course. If the distance had been 13.1 it would have been a PB. Happy with this and really felt the benefit of recent training.

First run in Marbella, out and back along the sea front. Nice morning, fairly warm with virtually no wind. Felt ok, better than I do most times when I run first thing in the morning and it was nice to run in shorts and tshirt

3 x 2 mile efforts off 5 min easy plus 2 mile warmup and 1.7 mile cooldown. Days like this were probably why treadmills were invented with horizontal snow / hail, freezing temps and swirling winds. Feeling quite well recovered today and fancied a bit of a session so went for the 3 x 2 miles I had done a couple of times in the programme towards the end of last year. Felt good, efforts were at 6:18 minute mile pace and the the last half mile of the last 2 miles at 6:00 minute mile pace.
